GUATEMALA

Photography is how I think. Ideas start as images long before they become concepts.

Travel sharpens the way I look — slowing me down, bringing me closer to people, places, and their rhythms. I’m drawn to honest moments: light, texture, gestures, and what happens in between. It’s how I observe, remember, and make sense of the world.

Under Active Ground

Guatemala feels ancient and alive at the same time. A land shaped by the Mayas, by ritual and continuity, but also by movement: volcanoes still erupting, ground that never fully settles.

The people are small in stature, warm and open in presence. Traditional clothing everywhere — deep colors and patterns that carry history quietly.

Moving through the country takes time. Long car rides through jungle and mountains, slow roads, few straight lines. The lack of highways stretches distance and pace, forcing patience — and attention.

Guatemala reveals itself slowly. Through color, landscape, and human connection.
